Honorary President's Remarks:
This will be the third year I have had the privilege of participating in this Annual Rally and I want you to know how excited I am about the prospect of a gathering of God's people of many cultures and ethnic backgrounds, to rally around His Word. In doing so, we will recommit ourselves to the mission. He gave the church 2,000 years ago: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

Thank you, Pastor Paul Chung, for being obedient to the vision God gave you for this event and for the ministry of Global International Missions. I will look forward to seeing YOU at the Rally on September 29, 2007.

By God's Grace,
Dr. William O. (Bill) Crews

Congratulations,Global International Missions!
Rev. Hoon Bae, Pastor of Richmond Baptist Church in California
Congratulations to Global International Missions on the new publication of a newsletter for all international Christians. It is a tremendous blessing from the Lord. America was built as a Christian nation, by God, working through Christian people. And now, as people of all nations have come to live together in this country, we must remember Jesus’ great commandment to us. I pray that God will continue to use you for His Kingdom. I know that you have a burden for sharing Jesus Christ with all the people of every nation. So let us pray together, fellowship together, and continue to impact Global International Missions through your every endeavor.

Rev. Frank Jackson, Pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church, Oakland, Co-Coordinator of the African American and Korean American Fellowship of Churches of the East Bay
I thank God for the work that you are doing on behalf the ministry of Jesus Christ. I was delighted to be a part of the wonderful conference last year. You had so many powerful ministries. There were highlights from across the country - all of them proclaiming, in word and song, the mighty name of Jesus. I am especially glad there was a multi-cultural ministry as well. Jesus' great priestly prayer was that we in the Christian community would manifest our unity ("ake them one, as we are one…that the world might believe"). No Christian group, church, community, fellowship, or culture can do as much separately, as we all can do together!
I also greet the conference on behalf of the African American and Korean American Fellowship of Churches of the East Bay . We have had fellowship with over thirty churches (African American, Korean American, Anglo and Hispanic over the years). Some of our churches will be attending the conference. Unfortunately I will be in Hawaii this week. We are in need of your prayers as we struggle with the issues that threaten all of our cities, especially Oakland . There is much violence and loss of life with our young people, particularly African American males. We are praying for the 'Shalom of the city' because God tells us that when seek the peace and welfare of the citizens, we will find our shalom (Jer.29: 7). God's richest blessing be with the conference and may everyone there have an encounter with the Risen Savior and leave more committed to spreading the Gospel all over the world!

Rev. Dr. Sung Ho Lee, the pastor of the Korean United Methodist Church of Santa Clara Valley.
I am currently the president of the Northern California Korean Churches' Association. However, I am here today as your colleague in world mission. I want to praise our Father with you today! I want to spread the Good News with you all over the world tomorrow! May God be with us all today, tomorrow, and forever!

I heard this story about a New York City transit company bus and its driver. Both were missing, so investigators concludedfoul play was involved. For over a week, authorities searched for the man and the bus but could not find them. Finally, ten days after the man disappeared, he and the bus were discovered in Miami , Florida . The driver said, "Well, I just decided one day that I had had it with the cold weather, the rude passengers, and my family, and I wondered what would happen if I just kept driving." So that is what he did.He took off for Florida for a week where he enjoyed the sun and surf all by himself! Haven't we all felt like this bus driver at times? Have you ever felt like quitting – even quitting school; your marriage; your work; your relationship to God? I certainly have. As a student in college, I felt like quitting. And as a professor at a Christian college for 25 years, a pastor for 17 years, and a college president for 8 years, I often felt like throwing in the towel. This is a normal way to feel. Even Paul felt this way. In the first chapter of the book of 2 Corinthians, he said, "There was a time in my life I came to the point of despair. Yes, I felt like giving up." And it was not merely giving up his job or his ministry or even his relationship with the Corinthians. He was down so low that he even despaired of life itself.Paul talked about the opposition that he was getting from the false teachers and opposition from the Corinthians. He also talked about all his trials and how people had disappointedhim and lied about him. He also mentioned that his health had gone bad and that he was depressed. But he kept going on rather than giving up. In verse one of this chapterin the Message Translation, we read, "Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we're not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times" (2 Corinthians 4:1). Now how did he do this?Paul was a human energizer bunny who just kept going and going and going. Well, from this great chapter, I want to give you just one secret of how one can keep going rather than giving up. And what is this secret that helps us not give up? Here it is: Though I sometimes fail, God shows me mercy.Yes, I will fail. I have failed, I am failing in some area of my life right now, and I will fail again in the future, but God shows me mercy.Look at 2 Corinthians 4:1 that says, "And so, since God in his mercy has given us this wonderful ministry, we never give up" (2 Corinthians 4:1). This is the last verse of the previoussection where Paul talked about grace, grace, grace, grace. He says, "That's why we never give up. Because everythingwe have comes through the mercy of God. Each of us has a ministry. Our opportunities for ministry include our family, our friends, and our church. All of this is through God's mercy. Praise God for his wonderful grace!
